ACADEMIC SITE VISIT OF PROFESSOR DR. YOKO KAWAMURA TO SISFEC

SISFEC, PUCHONG – On 26 January 2026, the Sultan Idris Shah Forestry Education Centre (SISFEC) received an academic visit from Professor Dr. Yoko Kawamura from the University of Occupational and Environmental Health (UOEH), Kitakyushu, Japan.

The visit, which was organized by the Department of Environmental and Occupational Health, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FPSK), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), was also attended by representatives from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), lecturers and researchers from FPSK, UPM.

The purpose of this visit was to review the suitability of the SISFEC as a location for the implementation of the Summer Camp program which is planned to be collaboration together by FPSK, UPM and UOEH, Japan.

The visitors were welcomed and briefing about SISFEC were given by Mr. Kamarulizwan, Senior Forest Conservator. The visitors were then taken to tour the surrounding area and showed  SISFEC facilities such as the hall, accommodation facilities, camping sites and forest trails.
