KEMBARA ILMU AGRO (SUPPORT STAFF), PROGRAM TRANSFORMASI MINDA (PTM) - 1/2026

SISFEC, PUCHONG – The Sultan Idris Shah Forestry Education Centre (SISFEC) has once again been chosen by the Registrar's Office of Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) to conduct the Program Kembara Ilmu Agro for support staff for the year 2026.

This program is part of the Program Transformasi Minda (PTM) - 1/2026 and was attended by 24 new support staff. Apart from introducing the environment and facilities of UPM, this program also exposed participants to the importance of nature conservation and continuous forest sustainability.

The one-day program began with a briefing on SISFEC given by Mr. Noor Hafiz Osman, Assistant Forest Conservator. Participants were then taken through the forest through an interpretation trail. Participants were given explanations regarding flora, fauna and environmental information along the trail.

After lunch and a short break, the program continued for the afternoon session. Participants were taken to the field for practical activities measuring the height and diameter at breast height (dbh) of trees. They delved into and experienced the forestry activities carried out by staff and students.
