Master of Environment

Introduction

The programme will equip students with advanced and professional knowledge through coursework and hands-on-training to expose them to the latest developments in the field of environment. Graduates from this programme can have career in planning, managing, research, academics and industry related to environment.

Duration of Study

A student pursuing Master of Environment may complete the programme within a period of three semesters (1  1/2  year) and a maximum of five semesters (2  1/2 years).

Programme Intake

Student intake is twice a year; First Semester (September) and Second Semester (February).

Admissions Requirements

The applicant should possess: A Bachelor’s degree in the field or related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.750 or equivalent, as accepted by the UPM Senate or A Bachelor’s degree in the field or related fields with range CGPA of 2.500 to CGPA 2.749 can be accepted subject to rigorous internal assessment by Faculty/School/Institute or A bachelor’s degree in the field or related fields or equivalent with a range of CGPA 2.000 to CGPA 2.499, can be accepted subject to rigorous internal assessment by Faculty/School/Institute. Candidates without a related qualification in the field/s or working experience in the relevant fields must undergo appropriate prerequisite courses determined by the Faculty/School/Institute and meet the minimum CGPA).

English Requirement

International applicants must have obtained a minimum score of 550 for the TOEFL Paper-based Test (Academic Version) or Band 6.0 for IELTS (Academic Training), or 79-80 for TOEFL Internet-based Test (Academic Version) or 213 for TOEFL Computer based Test (Academic Version) or ELS 109.  More information: CLICK HERE

Programme Requirements

The requirement for graduation is 40 credits, which covers: 28 credit hours of core courses (including 6 credit hours of Dissertation in Environmental Research) and 12 credit hours of elective courses.

Class Schedule

Weekend (Saturday and Sunday); 8.00 am - 5.30 pm (Each class 3 hours)
