The Department of Wood and Fiber Industries, Faculty of Forestry and Environment, organized the “JIKG Wood Workshop Facility Empowerment Program 2026” on 10 April 2026. The objectives of the program are as follows:

1. To enhance the facilities and infrastructure of the Wood Workshop at the Department of Wood and Fiber Industries (JIKG) to ensure a more conducive, safe, and efficient environment for teaching and learning purposes.
2. To improve the level of safety in the use of equipment and ensure compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) among students and staff.
3. To support the academic and practical training needs of students in line with technological developments in the wood and fiber industries.
4. To create a more systematic, organized, and user-friendly workshop environment in order to enhance the quality of the learning experience.
5. To cultivate a culture of continuous maintenance and proper care of facilities among members of the department
