Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) remains in the top 1% of 1,526 universities in Asia, ranked 22nd in the QS World University Rankings 2026: Asia. This achievement maintains UPM's position as the 2nd best university in Malaysia and the 4th best in Southeast Asia.
UPM achieved a perfect score in four key indicators namely; Inbound Exchange, Outbound Exchange, International Students, and Staff with PhD, complemented by excellent performance in Academic Reputation (99.3%) and Employer Reputation (98%). In addition, Papers per Faculty and Citations per Paper demonstrated the most notable improvements across all indicators.
