We would like to announce the upcoming 2nd International Scientific Symposium on Agarwood in the year 2016 (ISSA 2016). Please check this website periodically for detailed information on paper submission, registration, accommodation, social program, travel and visa information. English is the official language. This time round, an agarwood exhibition will take place concurrently. So mark the conference on your calendar,10-12 October 2016. We look forward to welcoming you in person!

Program
The program includes two days of presentations (oral and poster) and one day of site visit. Presentations will be given by leading international research scientists, regional scientists, and government officials. A forum and agarwood exhibition will be included.Topics:

APAFRI sponsorship
Travel funds are available for researchers coming from APAFRI member institutions outside of Malaysia. The fund is to cover international travel expenses from country of origin to Kuala Lumpur (Economy) and accommodation. Domestic travel will not be covered. Application is now open by sending-in your abstract before the deadline and indicating your intention to seek the fund. The fund is limited and successful applicants will be notified by 1 August 2016.

Local participant: RM 1050 (RM900)
International participant: USD 550 (USD500)
Local student: RM 600
Registration fee includes access to all presentations, exhibition, banquet dinner, program/abstract book, refreshments and lunches throughout the symposium session, and field trip. Due to some who may have encountered technical problem at wiring the fee, the early bird rate (in bracket) has been extended to 31 August 2016 NEW!!!. The organizer wish to thank those who have registered and made payments. Please be informed that we do not handle payment during the registration day itself. Only prepaid participants will be confirmed. Walk-ins are not allowed.

GALLERY ISSA 2013
On September 2013, the 1st International Scientific Symposium on Agarwood 2013 (ISSA 2013) took place and it was a huge success! The symposium was attended by 104
participants from 15 countries. The delegates were academicians, researchers, policymakers, businesses, and interested individuals. Overall, a total of 33 orals
and 11 posters were presented.
