FINAL JUDGING CEREMONY “SUSTAINABLE WOOD FURNITURE DESIGN COMPETITION 2025 (SWFDC EXHIBITION 2025)”

This competition is part of the “Promoting Sustainable Wood Use for Domestic Market in Malaysia (SWU)” consultation project jointly organized by Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), International Tropical Timber Organisation (ITTO) and Malaysian Timber Certification Council (MTCC). This exhibition is held as the culmination of the competition to provide an opportunity for:

  • Finalists to showcase their sustainable furniture prototype designs.
  • Public visitors, industry and students to evaluate the potential of recycled wood-based furniture designs.
  • The organisers announced the winners and presented prizes. Through this exhibition, the message of sustainable wood use and creative wood waste management can be conveyed to the wider community, in line with the celebration of World Wood Day 2025.

Participation in this competition is open to the educational institution community which is students from higher education institutions and skills institutes throughout the country. There is no participation limit for this program.
